Purpose: The purpose of this module is to develop critical understanding of central issues in classical and contemporary sociological theory. Qualifying learners will be able to point out how debates on certain sociological issues have changed from classical to contemporary theory. Students will be able to form their own identity within the broader community of sociologists by participating in sociological discourses and understanding the core sociological issues of modern societies.
