| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to enable qualifying students to be able to apply the laws units, definitions and fundamentals of the behaviour of gases and vapours under variations of temperature and pressure. The first and second laws of thermodynamics are analysed together with psychometry and fundamentals of combustion thermodynamics. This will enable qualifying students to apply these principles to the design of thermal engineering systems. |
