Purpose: The purpose of the module is to develop a critical appreciation of the politics and economics of information in the context of the knowledge economy. Additionally, students should be able to illustrate the impact of global and national information infrastructures on the flow of information; participate in information policy debates; manage and use intellectual property; and map the information industries.
