Purpose: The primary purpose of this module is to provide the student with knowledge to apply and simulate the holistic approach of Total Quality Management (TQM) in manufacturing and service organisations. This implies managing the complete range of " hard " and "soft" components for TQM starting with applying quality foundations, planning, performance, processes, people and implementation of methods and tools to errors (waste) and improve performance internal and external to the organisation by using case studies and simulation.
