| Purpose: The purpose of the module is to equip students with a detailed knowledge of tourism planning and sustainable development and management of tourism attractions. Students will have insight into the role of tourism planning in destination development, the levels of planning and the tourism planning process. Students will be able to analyse tourism plans from national, regional and local destination plans. Students will also be able to analyse the role that stakeholders play in the development of tourism policy and apply a framework to formulate tourism policy. |
