Purpose: The purpose of the module is to equip students with the skills and knowledge to apply the fundamental concepts, principles and processes of training and development within the context of existing training related legislation and organisational requirements. Students credited with this module are able to demonstrate sound knowledge of and insight into training and development practices in organisations, including aspects pertaining to various pressing needs and issues in South Africa, and concomitant targeted interventions. Qualifying students can contribute to providing quality education and training to enhance individuals' abilities and promote their employability
