| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to equip students with a sound understanding of the key issues regarding the conduct of research in Mathematics Education and professional presentation of research findings. It also aims to provide students with the necessary skills to interpret, evaluate, judge and apply the concepts, principles and techniques of appropriate scientific methods of inquiry
The module further introduces the student to the ethics surrounding research, deciding on an area of focus, data collection techniques and considerations, data analysis and interpretation, and the technical issues for writing a research report.
