Purpose: This module is aimed at providing learners with a broad understanding and knowledge of the theories of Engineering Hydrology and underlying principles describing fluids in motion. Students completing this module will be able to undertake and give meaningful input to design, operation and management of water resources systems including pumps and pumping systems, pipelines and open channel systems. Hydraulic and hydrological analysis is an essential aspect of water infrastructural design in as far as analysing viable options prior to identification of the best economic solution
