Fluid Mechanics
Developing a Model for the Teaching and Learning of Fluid Mechanics at an Open Distance University
SAIMECHE best engineering student award in 2017
Characterizing morphology pore sizes distribution in the integrated membrane feed stream for optimal performance during oil-water separation.
Biography:
I am black female who holds a B Tech in mechanical engineering obtained with COMLAUDE from the University of South Africa. I was awarded the best engineering student by SAIMECH in 2017.
I am passionate about teaching, learning and research.
I am currently teaching fluid mechanics and persuading my Masters degree in mechanical engineering.
My field of interest is on the oil-water separation using the integrated membrane systems, where the main objective is to reduce the oil-water pollution faced by the world due to the large number of increases of the industries producing oil-water waste daily. The successful separation could lead to low environmental, human and animal harm due to the chemical composition found in oil, and also the water could be re-circulated back to the plant for re-use for other engineering purposes.
