High-level Unisa delegation in France to advance Science Diplomacy

A high-level delegation from the University of South Africa (Unisa) is on a research and innovation mission in France to attend the South African Higher Education Institutions Research Week. The event started in Paris, France on Monday, 27 June 2022. The itinerary will also include a visit to Montpellier, one of the French cities renowned for being the hub of Science and Innovation. Unisa innovators awarded European patent for ground-breaking invention

The College of Science, Engineering and Technology’s Prof Vijaya Vallabhapurapu from the Department of Physics and Prof Patrice Umenne from the Department of Electrical Engineering were recently granted a European patent for their invention which will have a significant impact in the fields of quantum computing and medical imaging. Unisa alumni encouraged to be ambassadors of the university
