Inhlanyelo and CIBA collaborate to ignite entrepreneurship development and research

In a groundbreaking endeavour, Inhlanyelo Hub NPC and the Chartered Institute of Business Accountants (CIBA) solidified their dedication to promoting entrepreneurship by recently signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU delineates a holistic framework for collaboration, focusing on joint entrepreneurship development and research endeavours. It outlines diverse objectives, including bolstering emerging ventures, nurturing student entrepreneurs and advancing the realm of business accounting.

In terms of the MoU, Inhlanyelo Hub NPC will deliver Ide8tion and BMC workshops and provide business advisory and incubation support to CIBA members and students eager to launch their own ventures. In return, CIBA will facilitate funding procurement, while Inhlanyelo Hub NPC will provide specialised expertise to implement collaborative initiatives, as outlined in clause 5.1 of the MoU. Additionally, CIBA will supply experts for masterclasses and seminars, covering topics relevant to Inhlanyelo Hub NPC's ecosystem. Moreover, Inhlanyelo Hub NPC seeks CIBA's assistance with its registration with SETAs, such as FASSET and Services SETA, and to explore potential funding opportunities.


Opening avenues for growth and development 

Prof Raphael Mpofu, the Interim Chief Executive at Inhlanyelo Hub NPC, said: "By implementing this MoU, Inhlanyelo Hub will be able to reach CIBA's professional networks and provide chances for Unisa staff, students and alumni, particularly those in the accounting area. Inhlanyelo Hub NPC's influence in South Africa and the countries where CIBA is a member is expected to expand significantly." He added: "Inhlanyelo Hub strategically aims to sign tripartite MoUs with SACCI, CIBA, and CIPC facilitated CIBA's networks. Our footprint and presence are expanding."
