The Southern African Business Review:
Aims towards the publication of research articles of outstanding academic quality. Such articles shall bear testimony to the insight of the author(s) into the nature and objective of the research, the relevant literature and other scientific sources.
Open Access Policy
The Southern African Business Review is an Open Access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of Open Access.
Peer Review Process
Manuscripts are subject to double blind reviews by two reviewers. Reports from reviewers are anonymized and returned to authors for appropriate action.
Articles are also subject to editorial review before the peer review process. It is not uncommon for a member of the editorial team to recommend changes to a submission prior to peer review.
Publication frequency
From 2016 the SABR changed the sequence of three numbers per volume to only one volume per annum running from January to December. This implies that a volume will consist of only one publication. Articles will be published continuously throughout the year once it is approved and prepared for publication.
