We are thrilled to have you join our dynamic digital space. Located on the 6th and 7th floors of the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Building at the Muckleneuk Campus in Pretoria, we cater to all who are passionate about the power of media and communication.
Since 1969, our department has grown into a leading academic hub, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Media Studies, Integrated Organisational Communication, Public Relations, and Communication Studies.
Our programs emphasize African knowledge systems, aiming to decolonize the field and address challenges faced by African media and communication systems.
Our goal is to inspire and cultivate highly analytical students who are ready to excel and make impactful contributions to the discipline of communication.
