Rules: Students should note that during the course of their studies they would be required to have access to a computer with a webcam, and the internet. Modules APL4862 and AUE4801 are 12 credit semester modules offered in both semesters. Candidates may not enrol for all the modules in their first year of study without prior approval from the chair of the Department of Auditing and they should enrol for the modules in the following sequence: ALF4861; APL4802; AUE4866; AUE4863; AUE4864 and AUE4801. Students who have already passed LFI4861 will be exempted from AUE4866. |

Purpose statement: A Postgraduate Diploma: Forensic Auditing (PGDFA) learner is actively engaged in becoming a well-rounded, educated person and in preparing for further, more specific study or for the forensic auditing work environment. This qualification offers an advanced understanding of theories and practices pertaining to the field of Forensic Auditing and equips the learner with the necessary skills to manage forensic audit activities in diverse business environments. The Postgraduate Diploma: Forensic Auditing learner performs a critical role in society by practising ethics pertinent to business and communicates in a clear, rational and logical manner. The purpose of this qualification is firstly to prepare learners for a career in forensic auditing. Secondly, this qualification prepares learners to write the Certified Fraud Examiners' (CFE) examination. Thirdly, this qualification forms part of the learning pathway to qualify as a Forensic Accountant/Auditor (CFP-FA) with the Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners (ICFP). |

Each Unisa qualification is structured in such a way that you need to pass a certain number of NQF level credits within a certain amount of time in order to graduate.
Pre-requisite: If Module A is a pre-requisite for Module B, you must pass Module A before you may register for Module B.
You may not register for more than the allowed maximum number of credits / modules per academic year and / or semester: 60 credits per semester or 120 credits per academic year.
The maximum number of credits do not include supplementary and / or aegrotat examinations from a previous semester. Modules taken for non-degree / non-diploma purposes also count towards the maximum number of credits allowed.
