Rules: An appropriate Bachelor's degree or appropriate Advanced Diploma that includes one or more of the following as majors in the final year: Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology. IOP4862 has been replaced with HRM4802 from 2024. Students who have passed IOP4862 in this curriculum will retain the credit and will not have to register for HRM4802. Students should note that during the course of their studies they would be required to have access to a computer, printer and the internet. |

Purpose statement: The Postgraduate Diploma: Human Resource Management offers specialised academic and professional studies for students holding a relevant Bachelors' Degree, Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification in the field of Human Resource Management (HRM). The Postgraduate Diploma: Human Resource Management will enable them to independently identify, analyse and manage human resource trends, practices and problems within the context of managing human resources in any organisation. The qualification is accredited by the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP). Its composition is based on the learning outcomes provided by the SABPP and the requirements for registration as a Chartered Human Resource Practitioner. |

Each Unisa qualification is structured in such a way that you need to pass a certain number of NQF level credits within a certain amount of time in order to graduate.
Pre-requisite: If Module A is a pre-requisite for Module B, you must pass Module A before you may register for Module B.
You may not register for more than the allowed maximum number of credits / modules per academic year and / or semester: 60 credits per semester or 120 credits per academic year.
The maximum number of credits do not include supplementary and / or aegrotat examinations from a previous semester. Modules taken for non-degree / non-diploma purposes also count towards the maximum number of credits allowed.
