Rules: The College has amended the curriculum by removing IOP4868 as an elective and changing IOP4867 to a compulsory module. Students who have already passed IOP4868 will retain the credit and will not be required to complete IOP4867. Students should note that during the course of their studies they would be required to have access to a computer, printer and the internet. |

Purpose statement: The primary purposes of the qualification, closely tied to the rationale, serve to consolidate, advance and deepen students' professional knowledge and expertise in the field of Organisational Development and change management, including the choice to develop their research capacity in the methodology and techniques of the field. In this regard the qualification serves to educate and train professionals who can potentially contribute to the development of new knowledge in the profession at postgraduate level leading to enhanced career and employment prospects. The qualification provides qualifying students with comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the principles, major theories and paradigms, methods and technology of the science and practice of the field. It equips students with the required advanced and specialised intellectual and practical skills to prepare for professional registration with the South African Board for Personnel Practices. In this qualification, graduates who have elected the research module will have possibilities for further study in higher education programmes, such as master's degree studies in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. |

Each Unisa qualification is structured in such a way that you need to pass a certain number of NQF level credits within a certain amount of time in order to graduate.
Pre-requisite: If Module A is a pre-requisite for Module B, you must pass Module A before you may register for Module B.
You may not register for more than the allowed maximum number of credits / modules per academic year and / or semester: 60 credits per semester or 120 credits per academic year.
The maximum number of credits do not include supplementary and / or aegrotat examinations from a previous semester. Modules taken for non-degree / non-diploma purposes also count towards the maximum number of credits allowed.
