Dr Denzil Chetty is a scholar of technology and society, as well as technology and education. He leads two key institutional initiatives: the Academic Development Open Virtual Hub (ADOVH), which advances students’ digital learning competencies, and the Advancing African Digital Humanities Ideation Hub (AADHIH), an interdisciplinary catalyst for African digital humanities.

Chetty has received several notable awards, including the Abe Bailey Fellowship, UNISA’s Innovation in Teaching and Learning Award, and the Shanghai Open University African Visiting Scholar award. He has published widely, including journal articles, book chapters, and a monograph, and frequently contributes to national and international conferences as an invited keynote speaker
