Professor Kgomotso H Moahi is the Vice Chancellor of Botswana Open University (BOU), appointed in March 2025 after serving as Acting Vice Chancellor since April 2023. She previously held roles as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Services and Student Services, overseeing research, innovation, partnerships, and student support. Before joining BOU in 2020, she built a distinguished career at the University of Botswana, rising from Lecturer to Full Professor in Library and Information Science, and serving as Head of Department, Dean, Chair of the Committee of Deans, Senate and Council member, and Acting Vice Chancellor. An accomplished scholar, her research spans information management, ICTs in librarianship, health informatics, indigenous knowledge, and information ethics. She champions Open Access and equitable information for sustainable development.
