Dr Stacy Denny

Dr Stacy Denny is a former Cambridge Commonwealth Scholarship recipient and currently serves as the Head of the Centre for English Language Learning at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in Barbados.

Dr Denny is particularly dedicated to enhancing educational outcomes for marginalised children of African descent in the Caribbean and Latin America, recognising the future socio-economic and cultural implications for this majority group in the Caricom region, and, consequently, these nations.

Her research encompasses teacher education, teacher linguistic proficiency, bidialectal education, culturally appropriate pedagogical approaches in language education, and the influence of edutocracy on Caribbean education.
